HUB Fire and Security have been awarded the contract for the Life Safety and Security Schemes in Bangor University’s new arts and innovation centre Pontio, which will open its doors in 2014. Home to a mid-scale theatre, a studio theatre, a cinema, design and innovation centre, Students Union, spacious lecture theatres, social learning spaces, bar, café that, requires a wide ranging and comprehensive Life Safety and Security scheme.
HUB were awarded the contract by Balfour Beatty Electrical Services Limited (BBESL) who are providing the Mechanical and Electrical services for the building.
The HUB proposal includes the following systems:-
- Automatic Fire Detection
- Disabled Refuge
- Disabled Toilets
- Induction Loops
- IP CCTV
- IP Access Control
- IP Video Intercoms
- Intruder Detections Systems
The HUB proposal uses the latest IP technology to provide a comprehensive and innovative solution to the demanding requirements of the building with the added benefit that all systems are provided by a single contractor.
