As part of King’s vision to improve and develop its provision of student accommodation, and in association with the modernisation of Denmark Hill Campus, King’s College Hall is being redeveloped to a higher standard both in the quality of the accommodation and in the attractiveness of the complex in the neighbourhood. The facility is expected to open in September 2014.
Students were involved in the design of the facilities, expressing their requirements and preferences. Comments from local residents and other stakeholders were carefully considered and informed the final design.
Improved student facilities
Resident students will benefit from a new design specification for the study bedrooms and from the associated design for the self-catering kitchen and dining facilities as well as the social areas in the cluster style layout. In addition, student computing and printing services, high-speed wireless connectivity and café and bar facilities will be introduced. Residents will also be able to take advantage of facilities at nearby Denmark Hill Campus.
