Hub Fire and Security have secured the service agreement for the CCTV systems Bangor University

HUB Fire and Security awarded contract to upgrade Bangor University CCTV scheme. HUB were selected from over 9 bidders for this prestigious contract.

The University invited proposals on how best to upgrade their current Analogue CCTV system to a more flexible and high quality networked IP Solution.

Like many large organisations the University’s CCTV system had grown organically over many years. The current scheme was made of number of different independent systems and separate control locations.

The essential part of the HUB proposal was to incorporate the existing 300+ analogue cameras into a new IP, software based Video Management Central Control system.

The solution offered by HUB was based on the high quality Avigilon Enterprise Edition Control Centre 5. Avigilon Analogue to IP Encoders were used to incorporate the existing cameras into the Video Management Control System, which provided an immediate improvement in the existing camera images.

This was achieved via the existing University Campus Network made easier by the Avigilon HDSM (High Definition Stream Management Technology), which minimizes bandwidth and offers the fastest video search functionally in the industry.

New cameras added to the scheme have been selected from the wide range of Avigilon IP network Megapixel devices. These are connected into the Server based Video Network Recorders, which can be extended to cater for any future expansion of the scheme.

HUB Fire and Security are an approved Avigilon Installer.
